The look Spring 2009

by Alisa Gafur

Hey guys, I know you like to be in fashion too, so I thought I'd give you a run through of what your going to see for Spring 2009.

Fashion:

Pants are a relaxed fit this season, with a lot of shows having the ends rolled up.  Same goes for shorts, and again the legs were either cuffed or rolled up, 3/4 length.  Pair this with a deep V neck line sweater and polo or undershirt and your set.  For you office/night look, we're seeing alot of skinny suits (skinny pants, very fitted jacket), so get in shape!  Patterns are retro, wide striped or classic black and whites.  Tuxedo jackets are also hot this season, are really no guy can look bad in a tux jacket.

Shoes:

Basically anything goes, we saw alot of loafers, sneakers, sleek dress shoes and slip on or boat shoes, the key is the colors.  Alot of neutral shades (tans and whites) or black, but also some mustard, green even pastel pink (to go with the hot clothing color this season).  If your stuck just look at Kenneth Coles' Spring 09 Collection, you can't go wrong!

Hair:

There are 2 main trends in men's hair this season: fringe and slick back.  Generally hair is short on the sides and back and it's what you do in the front that is yours to own.  There was a lot of fringe in bands of long bands with a fringe finish-choose whatever suits you.  If you have really thick or curly hair, don't think that you can't do this.  Just keep the sides and back short and tousle your curls in the front, or fringe the ends your hair.

The other style is a classic slick back look, the trick is where you part it.  When cutting your hair, if your hair is straighter go longer on the top, if it's curly go short on the top. There were a lot of classic side parts (think Cary Grant) which always look good.

Voila, just a brief overview, to let you know what's in store for Spring 2009.
